Measuring the Viral K-Factor in B2B SaaS

The K-Factor determines if your growth is exponential or linear. K = (Average number of invites sent per user) * (Conversion rate of those invites).

Interpreting K

  • K > 1: Exponential growth (one user brings more than one user)
  • K < 1: Linear growth (you still need marketing to keep growing)
  • K = 0: Static (no natural sharing happening)
